The picturesque fishing village of Port Isaac (famous for its silver band which plays in the harbour every week in the summer) is only a short drive away as is Padstow, probably best reached by the ferry from Rock.
Further along the coast is the beautiful National Trust port of Boscastle with its harbour and unusual shops. Also nearby is Tintagel with it's

Rock is the local centre for all kinds of sailing whilst Daymer bay is popular with bathers and both wind and kite surfers. The adventure sport of Coasteering has become very big recently, have a look at www.cornishrocktors.com. They offer a number of other exciting activities - I haven't tried any of these myself! The Camel Trail, a 17 mile flat biking and walking trail between Bodmin and Padstow, is waiting to be explored. And, for those who don’t own a bicycle, there are several hire shops in Wadebridge - such as www.bridgebikehire.co.uk.
